One year after the holding of the 9th World Water Forum in Senegal, the Head of State asked the Prime Minister to ensure regular monitoring of the execution of hydraulic projects in urban and rural areas, in particular by ensuring the optimal planning for the renewal and extension of infrastructure (factories, boreholes, water towers and networks) and supervision of the management of boreholes and other hydraulic structures, under the supervision of the National Water Company of Senegal ( SONES) and the Rural Drilling Office (OFOR). In addition, the President of the Republic stressed the need to define a prospective national hydraulic plan, based on available water resources and reported needs, taking into account demographic changes and the significant acceleration of urbanization. of the national territory.
