We speak ! (By Yatma DIEYE) This text was published in 2009 when Mr. Mody Niang was the subject of a summons to the DIC following one of his contributions published in the press of the time. It was during the celebration of the anniversary of the call of a certain party, which had long since become a member of the presidential movement. The case of Commissioner Boubacar SADIO, which occurred these days, gives me the opportunity to castigate once again this umpteenth behavior that violates a fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution. We are faced with apprentice dictators who have been advancing blindly for a dozen years now. And yet the Senegalese people have twice had the opportunity to take their destiny into their own hands: the National Assembly on June 1, 2008 and the movement of June 23, 2011, but alas, as they say, the opportunity is dead, these two great appointments have been missed by a handful of power-hungry and ambitious individuals, but they realize at their expense that running a country, as Adama GAYE says, is not a game of child. It's not a matter of "neddo ko banditism" either, but it's about putting all citizens on an equal footing... To come back to our apprentice dictator, I gave an example taken from the film The Ten Commandments adapted from the Holy Bible: the head of the Hebrew overseers, the so-called Dathan, who later passed through the camp of Pharaoh - he is the ancestor of the transhumant people - mocked a supporter of the prophet Moses (PSL) in these terms “Moses only has words, Pharaoh has swords”. But, with God's help, Moses' words triumphed over Pharaoh's swords. We too only have our pens - and they are unbreakable - but they will triumph over all your repressive arsenal gleaned unnecessarily in Turkey... A nice way to thank a people who gave you everything and who expected schools and hospitals from you at least. Yatma DIEYE, Rufisque
